Checkfacebook.com... a great tool for marketers





A client, I am working with on Facebook strategy and implementation work asked a great question the other day, "Is there an easy way to find out how many people are using Facebook in Australia, and what the makeup of the audience is?".

People who are familiar with Facebook's advertising console would know that it is possible to answer these questions by logging in and doing some analysis. However, this takes time, skill and some data cajoling to get it into a presentable form. I thought there must be a better way. After doing some google research, I was able to find a handy tool called Checkfacebook.com.

This free online tool enables you to click on the country of your choice to see nationwide user statistics, what percentage of the population they account for and allows you to drill into the detail of demographic information using interactive pie charts. What's more, there are tables that outline the numbers relative to other countries, showing the largest international players and growth areas.

Checkfacebook.com isn't affiliated with Facebook; however, the information presented is highly reliable as it is sourced directly from Facebook's advertising console on a daily basis.
